About Janine Jewellery

Jewellery is an art with an expression of individuality. With this belief at heart, Janine Jewellery aims to connect with women from all walks of life by creating designs that celebrate personal style, confidence, and creativity.

Inspired by evolving fashion trends, we design and craft pieces that reflect both contemporary aesthetics and timeless elegance. Our collections range from simple, everyday essentials to elaborate statement designs, ensuring there is something to suit every personality and every occasion.

Every piece of Janine Jewellery is lovingly handmade in Malta by Janine Cardona, a registered Maltese artisan with the Commerce Department (Registration No. C1375).

About Janine

Janine Cardona is a graduate in Education, specialising in French and Maltese, and holds an Advanced Level qualification in Art and Design. Her passion for art and crafts began in her late primary school years and continued to grow throughout her academic and creative journey.

She began jewellery making as a hobby, which gradually evolved into a professional pursuit. This passion led to the founding of Janine Jewellery in 2021.

In late 2021, Janine introduced a unique line of ganutell jewellery using the traditional Maltese technique, naming it “Ganutell Ġojjell” after her first submission to Ġieħ l-Artiġjanat Malti. In 2024, she was awarded First Prize in Category 1: Textiles at the Ġieħ l-Artiġjanat Malti 2023 edition for her work “Ganutell: A Twist to Tradition.”

Ġieħ l-Artiġjanat Malti is an annual awards ceremony organised by the Malta Crafts Foundation, recognising excellence in Maltese craftsmanship and artistic innovation.

Janine participates regularly in artisan markets organised by the Malta Crafts Foundation, ECO Market Malta and Malta Artisan Markets to name a few.

Through her work, Janine continues to blend tradition with modern design, creating jewellery that tells a story of heritage, creativity, and contemporary elegance.
